If it is true that nature abhors a vacuum, then criminality regards it as a business opportunity.

John Connolly
About This Quote

A vacuum is a type of physical phenomenon that occurs when there is no source of mass and there is no gravitational field. The idea of a vacuum is not to be confused with the concept of air pressure, which is the force exerted by the atmosphere on an object. As such, vacuums can be created artificially by pulling out or blowing out air. Human beings, however, tend to think in terms of the physical vacuum phenomena and this can lead to some bizarre conclusions. For example, because vacuum phenomena occur when there is no source of mass and there is no gravitational field, fans once believed that if their heads were deep in a vacuum then their heads would grow or shrink and become round and pointy at the same time.
